Trial period finished and the program updated in a strange way

Hi everyone,

I just started using Malwarebytes. I downloaded the trial version, and at that point I wasn't aware that once the trial version is finished, the program reverts to the free version.

After the trial period was over, the program warned me about the old database, so I decided to update them just in case it worked, but thinking that it would ask me to register. Then what happened was that it asked me to install a new version, and it also asked me where I wanted to install it and if I wanted to create an icon in the desktop. I am not sure what this was for, so was it:

a) The program reverting to the free version?

b) There was a new version around April, 15th that just was installed in the complete way, that is, asking me for directory and all that stuff?

c) Something suspicious that I should remove from my computer?

No the program was updated just the other day and is normal. Yes it will revert to the free version.
