possible FBI but maybe yontoo

Hi,

Working on a friends computer.

He phoned me saying he was getting a window saying it was a police message saying he had to pay a fine, so I thought FBI. He brought the computer to me today and using normal startup I get a desktop for a couple of seconds then a white screen. Nothing can remove this (i.e. ALT-CTRL-DEL, ALT-TAB etc). Pressing power button on computer again gives desktop for a couple of seconds then shuts-down.

I can start in safe-mode. I msconfig'd, stopped all start-ups and non-MS services, rebooted, no change. Had a look through installed programs and noticed yontoo, apparently installed a couple of weeks ago.

His OS is winXP SP3.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
