False Alarm on 360safe Files by Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

Recommended Posts

This is Sam Wang with 360 Security Center. I'm the product manager of 360safe.

We've recently received reports that Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware has false alarms on two of the files of our product.

As the leading security software, we've been very careful to check the quality of our products. I'm quite sure that Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware has incorrectly identified our normal files as being Trojan Horses.

Yet this is not surprising, we've helped several foreign security software to enter the Chinese market, such as Kaspersky and ESET NOD32. All of them have encountered such false alarm issues during the first couple of months after they introduced their products into China. This is because they don't have the software samples in China, so they were not able to scan the while-list software in China before they release their malware signature database.

Please feel free to contact me if you need any further information.

Thanks!

Sam Wang

360 is obviously used by Norton and if one of our guys saw another app using 360 it would obviously look rogue to them (there are several rogues that use 360 in their names) .

Please choose one of the following options so that I can proceed :

Zip and attach copies of the two files we are hitting .

Zip and attach the installer for the application itself .

Provide a link to where these two files might already be stored .

Provide a link to where I can download the actual application .
