Used Malwarebytes to remove Antivirus XP - it removed it AND MY INTERNET ACCESS - HELP!

Can anyone help me please? I have used Malwarebytes Anti-Malware software to remove the Antivirus XP virus which it appeared to do very well.

Unfortunately I no cannot log onto the internet dispite my laptop being connected and others in the house being able to use the internet on their laptops.

I can only conclude that the programme has done something to prevent me from accessing the internet.

I have spent 5 hours this evening trying to fix the problem by Googling it but nothing seems to work.

I am sure this is a common problem so please please could someone help me. I am desperate

You dont say what your operating system is, but you may need to run winsock fix on it if its xp (found here)

or if its vista do this (read here)

Then re-boot and try again, hopefully this will sort it for you

Although that is a good possibility, there are quite a few Malware attacks out there that specifically are blocking it and a normal reset just won't work.

If the reset does not work for you then please follow the directions below and as soon as someone is available they will assist you.
