Must I always remember to disable NortonAV before running a Malwarebytes scan (which is what I've been careful about doing so far) in order to avoid any conflicts? Just try doing a scan with MBAM, and if it freezes, disable Norton and see if the scan will run without freezing. There seems to be an issue with Norton and MBAM scans that only affects some users, but not all so it would be worth testing to see if you have the problem or not (chances are you don't as most of the users with this issue are using Norton 360, not NAV/NIS). Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted March 11, 2009 Root Admin ID:63634 Share Posted March 11, 2009 I've also started to see some users with this issue that is caused by MBAM scanning thousands of files from Peer2Peer software so something to be aware of.. It hasn't frozen, it's just too busy to respond back properly for some. Though there is another freezing issue for some as you've reported that are not related to P2P software.
