terpfan Posted January 29, 2013 ID:640657 Share Posted January 29, 2013 I havn't used this shared family computer lately, and have found some type of trojan on it. It uses up most of the memory and is listed in task manager as svchost with a description of "winrscmde". I downloaded and ran Malwarebytes and it appeared to find the virus, however it only quarantines it and I receive a popup bubble about every 5 seconds to let me know that it has quarantined it again. The computer is running Windows 7, the 64 bit version, and never has had any issues like this previously. It has Norton Security Suite on it, which never even picked up the virus. Attached are the dds.txt and attach.txt files from the dds program. Thanks in advance for the help!attach.txtdds.txt
terpfan Posted January 29, 2013 Author ID:640660 Share Posted January 29, 2013 After exploring further on my own, i see the computer has been failing "important" rated security updates from the Windows Update twice daily for a while.. I think its time to reinstall the OS on this one. Sorry, this thread can be deleted.
