What is safe to remove?

Recommended Posts

I have been having trouble with my system for months. I am at the point where I am just going to get windows re-installed.

I installed malwarebytes today and the log reported the following:

Memory Processes Infected: 0

Memory Modules Infected: 0

Registry Keys Infected: 1

Registry Values Infected: 1

Registry Data Items Infected: 3

Folders Infected: 2

Files Infected: 31

I really am not sure what I can safely delete and really would like some help....please? I can copy the log here, if that is allowed.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, you are infected. Please update Malwarebytes, run a quick scan, and remove all things found and post the log (and include all this time, even the part at the top which you cut off).

Hi Tigger93,

Thank you for responding. It is okay to remove everything malware finds including the registry values & keys?

Download ComboFix from one of the locations below, and save it to your Desktop.

Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts. Please, never rename Combofix unless instructed.

When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log and a HijackThis log in your next reply

Note: Do not mouseclick Combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall
