The January 9th version of MBAR won't expire until February 25th, 2013 so I imagine we'll see at least one more beta. With a rootkit scanner there's some real tricky stuff to make sure the program doesn't brick the computer it's trying to fix.

Malwarebytes won't release a final version until ALL the kinks get worked out and they're 100% certain it's a good, little puppy, and not a sly, junkyard dog. ;)

These guys (and gals) are excellent at what they do.. Just give 'em time.

We extend the expiration date with each release of the beta, so that's not an indicator of when or if the next beta (or final/non-beta) will be released, just so we're clear. It has an expiration date to ensure that since we have been releasing newer versions so frequently, that users aren't running an outdated version of the tool which might have critical bugs in it (such as those which might 'brick the computer' as you so accurately stated :)).

  • 1 month later...

Sorry for not getting back to my own post? So when will the Anti-Rootkit be incorported in MBAM

MBAR is still in beta.. Sometime after it exits beta would be a good guess. :)

At least the latest beta can be downloaded from within MBAM via MORE TOOLS window.
