However, some rootkits are more troublesome then others so therefore additional tools might be necessary. You'll have to wait for a staff member to confirm this though. Once our initial testing is completed and the technology is proven stable, we'll consider other options, such as the possibility of incorporating it into Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. With a rootkit scanner there's some real tricky stuff to make sure the program doesn't brick the computer it's trying to fix.Malwarebytes won't release a final version until ALL the kinks get worked out and they're 100% certain it's a good, little puppy, and not a sly, junkyard dog. It has an expiration date to ensure that since we have been releasing newer versions so frequently, that users aren't running an outdated version of the tool which might have critical bugs in it (such as those which might 'brick the computer' as you so accurately stated ). Sometime after it exits beta would be a good guess.
