want to know file /folder path for malwarebytes logs+quarantine

hi

i want to know the folder /file path for malwarebytes logs and quarantine, i have got software that i can enter in the file path and wipe it's contents.i know i can do it manually but when i want to wipe the logs i don't want to go through all the menus to wipe the logs, i want to use this software so that i can do it with the click of the mouse.

i have looked in the folder for malwarebytes and can't find anything relating to logs or quarantine.

i am using windows 7 64 bit sp1 and malwarebytes version 1.70.0.1100

Hello and welcome:

You can see the file paths for protection and scan logs if you open the main program interface > logs tab (see attached screenshots).

In Windows Vista/7/8, protection logs are located in: C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs

Scan logs will be at C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs

FWIW, though, there is already a 1-click, "Delete All" option for these scan logs & protection logs (see screenshot).

For Quarantine, there's also already a 1-click, "Delete All" option: How to Empty Items from Quarantine

PS Items in Quarantine cannot harm your system. So, it's generally a good idea to leave them there for a few days, to be sure your system is working OK, before removing them completely/permanently. False positives are rare and are fixed very quickly, but they do happen from time to time.

if you uncheck "automatically save log file after scan completes" so that no log is saved-will the log that's been generated delete itself to free space or maybe a windows temporary file?

I do not believe so. You'll need to manually delete the logs. I'm not sure why you'd not want to save the logs as text files don't take up much space at all. I've rarely seen one above 1MB.

Malwarebytes quarantined a .dll file I really need to run Dreamweaver, it won't let me restore it, can you tell me the quarantine location on windows 8 so I can restore it manually? Any help appreciated!

MalwareBytes quarintined amtlib.dll from Dreamweaver and it won't allow me to restore it, how can I get it back? Trying to find the file path, but programmedata appears to be hidden on c drive?

David H. Lipman The file path was originally Program files 86 > Adobe > Adobe Dreamweaver > amtlib.dll

Really need this back to get Dreamweaver working again, so annoyed with this Malware bytes programme!  Any ideas?
