want to know file /folder path for malwarebytes logs+quarantine

Recommended Posts

hi

i want to know the folder /file path for malwarebytes logs and quarantine, i have got software that i can enter in the file path and wipe it's contents.i know i can do it manually but when i want to wipe the logs i don't want to go through all the menus to wipe the logs, i want to use this software so that i can do it with the click of the mouse.

i have looked in the folder for malwarebytes and can't find anything relating to logs or quarantine.

i am using windows 7 64 bit sp1 and malwarebytes version 1.70.0.1100

thanks for any assistance

regards,

ken

Hello and welcome: :)

You can see the file paths for protection and scan logs if you open the main program interface > logs tab (see attached screenshots). :)

In Windows Vista/7/8, protection logs are located in: C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs

Scan logs will be at C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs

FWIW, though, there is already a 1-click, "Delete All" option for these scan logs & protection logs (see screenshot).

For Quarantine, there's also already a 1-click, "Delete All" option: How to Empty Items from Quarantine

PS Items in Quarantine cannot harm your system. So, it's generally a good idea to leave them there for a few days, to be sure your system is working OK, before removing them completely/permanently. False positives are rare and are fixed very quickly, but they do happen from time to time. ;)

Please start your own thread and fully explain your problem with details.
For example you wrote... "quarantined a .dll file "

What DLL ?

What is the fully qualified name and path to the DLL.
