advanced system care slowing down my pc

Hi:

Yes, this is not a recommended product.

The use of registry cleaners/tweakers/fixers is not advised -- they are of no benefit and can cause serious system damage. Moreover, security products by Iobit are not regarded positively in the security community, so I don't think you'll find many endorsements for ASC these days.

BTW It looks as if you are working with MrC over in the malware removal section here? http://forums.malwar...howtopic=120627

It would be advisable to finish up there and get the "all clear" from your helper, before installing any new programs.

HTH,

i have recently un installed 'Advanced system care' after what seemed like it was working ok for many months it suddenly brought up over 200 problems with the 'registry' i had it fix these then after a re start of my laptop it would not load, i got a message that there was a problem with 'windows' and 'windows (7)' went into 'fix' mode after quite a while a 'windows' message came up saying it could not fix it but did i want to try going back to a previous 'system restore' point, which i did and all was fine, it might have been a coincidence but i did not want to take another chance so i un installed 'Advanced system care'

The company behind this product was found to be stealing our database.

Personally I would not trust installing any software from a company that resorts to stealing someone's technology to sell their product.

Please see the following links and make up your own mind if you want to keep this on your system. If needed we can help you remove it.

Normally its frowned upon to post in a topic that is quite old, this post if from Posted 13 January 2013 - 10:39 PM, it would have been better to start your own topic.

i want to ask one question...is advanced system care can cause windows problem like windows would not startup?

In a simple answer, yes, all depending on what was removed... Also I would not be using this program as already mentioned in post # 5 above...
