1.70 Not Updating on XP

At home on 2 Windows 7 machines, everything is great with 1.70 Pro. At work, however, I have an XP machine, free MBAM 1.7 running with Symantec Endpoint AV. I do not have priviliges to change any settings in Symantec. When I try to update from within MBAM, nothing happens. It just says "connecting to server" and nothing happens...no error message is received, but I can close the update box and the program can run. Is this a proxy issue? I have not been able to update for the last several versions, but used to get an error message. I can update manually from outside MBAM.

Yes, it sounds as if it could well be a proxy issue connecting to the update servers.

However, please note that use of MBAM on work/business/corporate machines requires corporate licensing:

If you contact the corporate support team >>HERE<<, they ought to be able to help you sort out the licensing issue and to get MBAM updating properly via the proxy server at work.
