Possible Malware Infection.

Recommended Posts

My Computer hasn't been allowing me to open certain programs (ie. Mostly anti virus programs and programs that may help my computer) . it never shuts down by itself but when it does, it immediately restarts and says that there was an unexpected error called 'Blue screen'. Plus it is beginning to go down hill. Malware bytes is the only anti virus program I can open. It detected a malware by the name of 'PUP.bundle.installer.'

I removed the malware straight away, but it hasn't helped . I am almost certain that this is a Virus of some kind! But i just cant find it... PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!! I Have attached several photos regarding this issue.

Hello and Welcome to Malwarebytes ferenc30

Please run the following scanner and attch back the logs and we'll see if we can find anything that might be causing this and provide further information once we've had time to read your logs.

Download DDS from one of the locations below and save to your Desktop

dds.scr

dds.com

Temporarily disable any script blocker if your Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware has it.

How To Temporarily Disable Your Anti-virus, Firewall And Anti-malware Programs

Once downloaded you can disconnect from the Internet and disable your Ant-Virus temporarily if needed.

Then double click dds.scr or dds.com to run the tool, on Vista or Win 7 right click and select Run as administrator

Click the Run button if prompted with an Open File - Security Warning dialog box.

A black DOS console should open and run for a moment.

When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
  1. DDS.txt
  2. Attach.txt

  • Save both reports to your desktop
  • Please include the following logs in your next reply: DDS.txt and Attach.txt
You can ignore the note about zipping the Attach.txt file in most cases.

Thanks

Thank You, I really appreciate Your help. But for some obscure reason, DDS does not want to work. It installs and when I run it it gets up to the attachments part but then just stays there. And because I can't open any of my antivirus's except for malware bytes, I cannot disable my anitvirus. But It doesn't seem like the antivirus is preventing DDS...

I have attached it's progress.

Generating dds.txt

DDS is a non-invasive diagnostic tool.

- DDS makes no registry writes/changes

- DDS does not create any permanent files/folders.

- This scan should not take longer than three minutes to complete.

When the scan is complete, a logfile/report shall pop open.

Please wait ..

Generating attach.txt

Okay, no problem ferenc30 - Please go ahead then and read the following topic: Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers

This will provide you with further options to have an expert assist you further with this. If you decide to post in the HJT forum and are unable to run the DDS then just start the new topic and let them know that DDS would not run for you either.

Thank you again

Just what is DDS? It comes up on my screen constantly and when I google the DDS, I get dentistry sites.

DDS is a program that will scan your computer and create logs that can be used to display various startup, configuration, and file information from your computer. This program is used in our security forum to provide a detailed overview of what programs are automatically starting when you start Windows. The program will also display information about the computer that will allow us to quickly ascertain whether or not malware may be running on your computer.

To use DDS, simply download the executable and save it to your desktop or other location on your computer. You should then double-click on the DDS.com icon to launch the program. DDS will then start to scan your computer and compile the information found into two log files. When DDS has finished it will launch the two Notepad windows that display the contents of these log files. The contents of these log files can then be attached to a reply in our Virus Removal Forum so that an expert can analyze them.

If you would like to use DDS while receiving help in our Virus Removal forum, you should first follow the steps in this guide:
