Help - malwarebytes won't install

Help. I think I have a virus. I installed malwarebytes and tried to run, it just froze. So I uninstalled it and am trying to re-install it. I get an error saying it it already installed? It tells me to uninstall and reinstall, but there is no programlisted in the control panel. My system is unstable, I am running it in safe mode with network connections, but typing this from my iPad. Can anyone help

Yes, sometimes malware can block MBAM from installing/running.

We can't work on malware diagnostics and removal in this sub-section of the forum.
