MBAM locking up

I also want to add I am now experiencing the same issue. I am running Windows 7 x64 and my AV of choice is ESET Smart Security. The update to 1.70 was smooth and no issues but now its causing me issues.

I am currently in safe mode right now, as when I go to logon my computer I get stuck at Welcome and nothing happens. Going into Safe Mode, and disabling Malwarebytes and rebooting back into my PC works. This is the first time I have ever experienced any issues with Malwarebytes.

Adding exclusions does not solve this problem, I have tried. Disabling Protection is my only option in order to use my computer.

I am a little disappointed as now I am going without the extra protection of Malwarebytes. I have done a clean install on this machine about a month ago and everything is fully up to date on my PC.

I will contact the help desk, I just wanted to add I am experiencing it too incase its some kind of issue within the Malwarebytes

program.

Thank you.

Hello AdvancedSetup,

I have tried what you suggested, except this time I told ESET to ignore the entire Malwarebytes folder and I told Malwarebytes to ignore the entire folder for ESET, before

I had them only ignore the suggested file names. I have added the exclusions and restarted several times and problem is solved! Everything is back to the way it was.

I always left the two programs alone without any exclusions and never had any issues until this point, but thats fine, everything is working as it should again.

Thank you very much for the help, I appreciate it. :)
