Computer freezes in start up after malware quarantine and removal

Recommended Posts

Can you get to the Advanced Boot Options Menu

Restart the computer.

Tap the <f8> key during startup until the Advanced Boot Options Menu appears. (If it does not appear, restart the computer, and try again.)

If you can try "Last Know Good Configuration":

If that doesn't work > see if you can get to "Safe Mode with Command prompt":

Good!

Can you look in Malwarebytes for the log that shows what it detected and deleted on your system and please post it.

Next...........

Please download and run RogueKiller to your desktop.

Quit all running programs.

For Windows XP, double-click to start.

For Vista or Windows 7, do a right-click on the program, select Run as Administrator to start, & when prompted Allow to run.

Click Scan to scan the system.

When the scan completes > Close out the program > Don't Fix anything!

Don't run any other options, they're not all bad!!!!!!!

Post back the report which should be located on your desktop.
