Protection Partially Enabled

Recommended Posts

Hi. Yesterday I signed for the paid version of Malwarebytes. It's not behaving quite as I expected.

It's telling me that protection is only partially enabled. The screen looks the same as the image posted in this thread.

Reading the advice there, I ran dds and got the attached files.

I also ran tdsskiller. It advised no threats.

In addition, Malwarebytes has told me twice that it blocked contact to malicious web sites. I was not trying to access a web site at the time and my firewall (Comodo) reports no port 80 or 443 access requests.

I'm new to using Malwarebytes. Can anyone offer any advice please?

Hello and welcome, Earthenware:

Sorry you're having a problem with the protection module.

Please be sure you have mutual exclusions set between MBAM and Comodo.

Some general steps on how to do that are in the FAQ >>HERE<<.

Post back if you need more help with this.

In addition to the DDS logs (thanks for those!), please folow the instructions below to run mbam-check and post the log from it, as well as a couple of MBAM protection logs.

One of the MBAM staff will review all the logs and advise you further to resolve your issue.

Thanks,

---------------------------

Step 1 -- Create an mbam-check log:

Download mbam-check.exe from HERE and save it to your desktop.

Double-click on mbam-check.exe to run it, it should then open a log file.

Please attach to your next reply the CheckResults.txt file which should now be located on your desktop.

Then, if you can, please also upload your 3 most recent Protection module logs:

In Windows XP, these logs are located in: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs

In Windows Vista/7, these logs are located in: C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs

Thanks for the logs.

Please wait for assistance from one of the MBAM staff or more expert members.

Alternatively, since this is the paid, PRO version, you might wish to contact the support team directly.

They can be contacted here: http://www.malwareby...ntact_consumer/
