I can`t restore my programs from quarantine?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, I`m new to Malwarebytes and I got a little problem...

I did a full scan on my computer and now Malwarebytes has quarantined a lot of things.

There were some programs I didn`t trust and I deleted them, but there were also some of my own things in that list. I just deleted everything I didn`t know from the list and now I got a list of quarantined items which I want back, but I got this weird problem: When I click "Restore" or "Restore all" it comes up with the question "are you sure?" (or something similar to that) and then I click Yes, but it just doesn`t do anything. I clicked that button a few times, pressed Yes and the message disappears and nothing happens. It doesn`t freeze or anything, it just acts like I never pressed the button.

The list is still full with my items and I would like to have those back :P

I didn`t try reinstalling Malwarebytes yet, because I`m afraid it`ll delete the quarantined items when I uninstall it.

Thanks to anyone who can help me

And I`m sorry for my English, I`m Dutch.

Hello Malware Max and Welcome -

There is usually no need to Uninstall Malwarebytes Anti-Malware program, just a normal Update is all you require -

This will not remove anything from quarantine -

Have you checked if any of the items you wish restored are in their correct places yet, or are they still missing ??

Have you attempted to use a program like Recuva from Piriform to recover any of these files yet ??

it comes up with the question "are you sure?" << This is normal and is a check that you have pressed the correct button -

Can you open and Copy and Paste the log in question back here and we may be able to give further advice -

Thank You -

This is why I would like to see the scan log, to see if all items were removed or if there are some that still remain in the quarantine area -

Thank You -

It doesn't matter if they were removed or not. If an item was removed during a scan, a reboot must take place prior to being able to restore it from quarantine. This is because all removed files are marked for deletion on reboot even if they have already been successfully removed in order to ensure that the removal is complete and that the infections do not have a chance to regenerate themselves.

I Fully 100% understand this - But do you understand why I am asking for the log to see what it contained ??

If my idea is not suitable, could you please reply to the OP and not to me -
