Is this program recommended for old/slow computers?

My dad has a laptop thats kind of old. It has windows xp. His laptop worked pretty good (for my standards) but became slower when I installed avast on it. So I'm trying to find a light antivirus that doesn't effect his laptop's performance much. I've heard of panda cloud but I'm unsure if its a legitimate program.

Any advice?

you might consider installing MSE .

i have found that it is ok on older machines .

however , the realities are that older machines are simply lacking the horsepower to "pull the wagon" these days .
