Windows Failed to Start (Please Help)

Ok i am trying to get my friends pc going to no avail. I will try to give as much info as i can but since i cannot access a lot i dont really know a lot of the specs etc.

It is an LG desktop computer

It has windows 7 installed and i think its about 5 years old.

Heres the issue. When i start the pc i get a message saying Windows Failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. Then it tells me to fix the problem put in the installation disc. Under that info is this:

the boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible

Status: 0xc000000e Info: The boot selection failed

The problem is when i am on this screen the keyboard does not work. The keyboard WILL work at startup if i try to get into the bios[delete key option] but will not work in the f12 boot menu either. And as soon as i am back on this main screen i cannot select any options such as esc to exit or enter to continue. I am using a usb keyboard and i have already taken out the battery to see if that resets the bios etc. to no avail. And if i change the bootup options to boot from the disc, when i get back to this same screen (which it always goes to) i cannot select enter so i can boot from the cd since on this screen the keyboard seems disabled or something. Any help and things i need to do are appreciated !! I also have access to another computer if there are things i need to download etc. to run.

UPDATE ** I ended up getting it running, it seems that for some odd reason a bunch of bios options were set to diabled suh as keyboad mouse etc. Any reason for that? I ran malwarebytes but it mainly found cookies etc. and the pc is running ok now. Are there any other things i should run now just to make sure the pc is running clean and that there are no system errors etc?

If you think you are infected, here are the steps needed to get your computer checked or cleaned....

Please read the following so that you can begin the cleaning process:

Don't use any temporary file cleaners unless requested - this can cause data loss and make recovery difficult

You have 3 Options that you can choose from as listed below:

  • Option 1 —— Free Expert advice in the Malware Removal Forum
  • Option 2 —— Paying customer -- Contact Support via email
  • Option 3 —— Premium, Fee-Based Support

OPTION 1

As we don't deal with malware removal in the
General Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Forum
, you need to start a topic in the

Malware Removal forum

so a qualified helper can help you fix any malware related problems or infections you may have.
  • Please read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete.
  • After posting your new post, make sure under options, you select Follow this topic and choose Instantly,
so that you're alerted when someone has replied to your post.

NOTE: Please do not post back to (bump) your topic within the first 48 hours.

Replying to your own posts changes the post count and helpers are looking for topics with zero replies.

If you reply to your own post helpers may think that you're already being helped and thus overlook your post.

    • If there is no reply from any experts after 48 hours, you can reply to the topic, asking for help again.
      Or
    • You may send a Private Message to a Moderator asking for assistance.

OPTION 2

Alternatively, as a paying customer, you can contact the help desk
here
