Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted December 5, 2012 Root Admin ID:620149 Share Posted December 5, 2012 AppRemover appears to be able to remove some security applications that have trouble removing on their own and I've had users use it before. However, one needs to be careful about using the AppRemover application and watch how you install it.I would choose the Custom Installatin (Advanced) and then uncheck everything and then click on the No installation - I only want to run AppRemoverA better soulution if possible though would be to obtain a manual removal tool if needed from the Security Vendor of the application you're trying to remove.singularlabs list of uninstallersOPSWAT Community Conduit Toolbar - via AppRemover.comConduit End-User License AgreementConduit-Powered Application – Privacy Policywww.conduit.comConduit PrivacySept 2009 Conduit Press Releasetruste.com

Jacktivity Posted June 22, 2013 ID:694317 Share Posted June 22, 2013 Just thought I would update this a bit. Opswat AppRemover no longer asks to install anything extra. Oddly enough, it is still labeled as version 3.0 As Ron said earlier, in most cases you are likely better off using the manufacturer's removal tool, but it's nice to have something else in your pocket to at least try too.
