Anti Spam & Antivirus for Mobile Phones

Have you any knowledge about the High-Risk Category of Malwere & Anti Virus invasion on Mobile Phones?

Do we need Anti Malware & Anti Virus software on our Mobiles?

If not, why?

it depends....with the way things are going, and putting windows mobile on phones...eventually the need will grow i think.

if your using your 8yr old cell that doesnt even have an LCD...no LOL

It's becoming much more common these days, especially with built in technologies like wi-fi and bluetooth. Many security vendors make versions of their software for mobile devices for just this purpose. If you have your phone secure for bluetooth connections (ie not set to accept a connection without some sort of confirmation/authentication) and you don't use puplic wi-fi hotspots then you're relatively safe. Of course there's still the threat of emails that are infected and malicious websites that contain malware that infects smart phones. The phone I have doesn't have internet access or bluetooth so I don't worry about it, but if I had a smart phone with those features and I surfed the internet with it, then I would use an anti-virus on it.

on my smart phone HTC i use bitdefender mobile AV , but i have to say iv never seen a pop up or message warning me i be sent a virus,

in some ways im sort of amassed about the need for anti virus on a cell phone.

How do you know she dosnt have tandum sim in her phone so she can lissen to your calls or track what and were you are?, it can all happen now days....
