Is MBAM alone enough for a conservative user

Recommended Posts

Providing a user doesn't venture into known dangerous sites is MBAM enough for a conservative user or is anti-virus another world & one must have an AV on board as well?

N.B. I'm not looking for a 'worst case scenario' reply. I'd like to hear back "MBAM is normally good enough coverage across the board".

N.B.B. Sandboxie & AppGuard are installed.

Hi, AaLF:

Short answer: Absolutely not. :)

MBAM works differently from your anti-virus, specializes in different threats from your anti-virus, and is designed to work alongside a robust, real-time anti-virus to provide complementary, layered protection.

There are many excellent options, both free and paid, for anti-virus protection.
