Crashing

BWP

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Some weeks ago I ran my usual MBAM update. From that time on it crashes during a full scan at varing points and times. A quick scan is fine. Nothing has changed on my PC apart from an unwanted Windows Explorer 8 advert which Microsoft put on after an auto update and I couldn't get rid of it. An angry phone call to them got me an engineer whom logged on to my PC and removed it. I've tried removing and re-installing MBAM but it's made no difference.

I was advised to create a new HJT log and visit this area for help. I hope we can sort this, I trust miss my MBAM scans! HJT log below -

The only advice we really have at this time is to maybe try to Disable your AV while MBAM does the Full Scan, though this does not always help either.

In general the Full Scan should not be needed as it only searches a couple of other areas that the Quick Scan does not. The QS searches all known areas where Malware can run already.

In the NEWS forum there are some other posts on similar issues if you want to review some of the posts.
