Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit BETA v1.01.0.1009 (Not Responding)

Recommended Posts

I recently followed the "How to use Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit to remove rootkits from a Computer" guide to successfully clean my XP laptop and it worked like a charm! thumbup.gif

I then tried to use it on my Win7(64bit) laptop and as the guide cautioned I ran in to the "Could not load DDA Driver". I clicked "Yes", it restarted, I updated & scanned & scanned.... & now it's "not responding". Malware Found = 7 so far, but it hasn't moved in a couple of hours.

I'm not sure whether to shut it down, give it more time or what.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hello. I did run Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit BETA on my desktop last night and today. I didn't find any malware, but also didn't notice any problems. Ran it also on my laptop and found no malware or problems scanning with it. Both machines running Windows 7. I was very happy to see Malwarebytes offering this new BETA for detecting and removing those very hard to find rootkits. When I first click on the link from my Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Pro and saw this BETA I even reached for my credit card not knowing it was free so far, because I had such great results from using the Anti-Malware Pro on both of my systems. Anti-Malware Pro did detect and remove a PUP Bundle off of my Hp desktop. Now I won't have worry about opening up Combofix anymore and learning that. If some machines are having problems running the New Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit I am confident that the good people of Malwarebytes will work it all out in time. I have these two great Malwarebytes programs running even along side of my Norton 360, and get along very well, (no conflict, as I can see). I even have them all open on my task bar, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and my AV visible on the system tray. Thanks much Malwarebytes for all you do, :)
