Question about Malwarebytes scanning

I want to know whether malwarebytes scans password protected and overcompressed files

AFAIK, MBAM does not scan compressed files.

I think it's "No" for password-protected files, as well (but we'll need to wait for expert confirmation).

These would be the job for your anti-virus.

MBAM is specifically designed to work differently from your anti-virus (AV).

It will not scan these type of files, that would be the job of your antivirus software.

Well not even your antivirus can scan a password protected file. It needs to be able to open the files inside to check but without a password it cannot be done.

Yes Ron is correct, my answer was mainly for the compressed files, I missed the password part of your question, sorry.
