Apologies but can someone help me?

I don't know where i should post this so feel free to move. I was just starting to get started with having my issue started. I am sure it was Screen213 (?) who was helping me. Then everything disappeared last week. I reposted as instructed the logs with 'screen' in the title and have also pmd him but nothing has been heard at all. I am really struggling as my computer won't start or shut down properly without me pulling the plug out. Is it possible for someone else to step in as I don't think the person who was helping me has been back on the forum for a while and I am feeling a bit lost as to what to do. Thanks and apologies if I am being a nuisance .
