Computer wont boot in Normal Mode after updating to 1.65.1

Recommended Posts

After updating to version 1.65.1.1000 (automatic update) Windows 7 will not load up.

If I go into SAFE MODE, change Malwarebytes so it doesn't load at startup and restart

the computer I have no problems.

I downloaded and installed the program manually but still have the same problem.

Any suggestions?

Hi, grog1961: :)

This hasn't been reported yet, at least that I can see here on the forum. :(

Inability to boot into Windows suggests either some sort of serious OS problem or software conflict, or possibly infection.

The experts will definitely need a bit more info in order to pinpoint and resolve the issue for you.

Please follow the instructions below to run the DDS scan tool and reply back here with both scan logs as attachments to your next reply.

Alternatively, if you are a paid user of the PRO version of MBAM, you can open a ticket at the helpdesk via this contact page >>HERE<<.

Please include in your request the link back to reference this topic, included in this code box:

DDS Instructions

Download DDS from one of the locations below and save it to your Desktop:

dds.scr

dds.com

Temporarily disable any script blocker if your Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware has it.

How To Temporarily Disable Your Anti-virus, Firewall And Anti-malware Programs

Once it is downloaded, you can disconnect from the Internet and disable your Ant-Virus temporarily if needed.

Then double click dds.scr or dds.com to run the tool, on Vista or Win 7 right click and select Run as administrator

Click the Run button if prompted with an Open File - Security Warning dialog box.

A black DOS console should open and run for a moment.

  • When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:

    1. DDS.txt
    2. Attach.txt

  • Save both reports to your desktop
  • Please attach both of the following logs to your next reply: DDS.txt and Attach.txt
You can ignore the note about zipping the Attach.txt file in most cases.
