MBAM not listed in Startup, but it starts at startup

I'm running MBAM Pro 1.65.0.1400 on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. I've just noticed that MBAM is not listed anywhere as starting at startup--not when I look at msconfig or in the listings in WinPatrol, Revo, or CCleaner. But it's in my system tray and when I look at the Protection tab it shows that protection is turned on and the program is set to start at startup. It also updates it database according to the schedule I've set. So nothing seems to be wrong, except nowhere is MBAM listed in the Startup menu. Was this a change made for version 1.65? Since it seems to be working fine, I guess I should leave well enough alone, but I am curious.

Yes, I am pretty sure that is normal and expected behavior, by design, with the current version.

Somewhere I recall seeing a post by one of the mods explaining it, but I can't seem to find it.

Hi, Daledoc. Yes, that helps a lot. It didn't feel as if anything was wrong, but it was nonetheless disconcerting not to see MBAM listed in my Startup programs. I wonder whether they did this to make the program less vulnerable. Oh well, I guess I'll stop worrying about this and go on to the next item on my list.

If everything is working OK, I wouldn't sweat it.

I'm sure one of the experts or staffers will be able to confirm and explain it...

Thanks for the link to the earlier discussion, Daledoc. Sounds like it could be a related issue, but not the same one, since in my case the MBAM icon does appear in the system tray, but the program isn't listed in the Startup menu, even though it's set to do so and apparently DOES do so. But, as you say, since everything else seems to be working OK, I'm happy.
