Please run the following mbam-check tool so that we can get a better look at what's going on.

Create an mbam-check log:

Download mbam-check.exe from here and save it to your desktop

http://data-cdn.mbam...1.10.0.1000.exe

Double-click on mbam-check.exe to run it. When done it should then open a log file

Please copy and paste the entire contents of the log into your next reply, or, if you prefer, you may attach the CheckResults.txt file which should now be located on your desktop to your next reply instead

Next, please download DDS from one of the locations below and save it to your desktop.

here: http://download.blee...om/sUBs/dds.scr

or

here: http://download.blee...om/sUBs/dds.com

Temporarily disable any script blocker if your Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware has it.

Once downloaded you can disconnect from the Internet and disable your Ant-Virus temporarily if needed.

Then double click dds.scr or dds.com to run the tool, on Vista or Win 7 right click and select Run as administrator

Click the Run button if prompted with an Open File - Security Warning dialog box.

A black DOS console should open and run for a moment.

When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:

DDS.txt

Attach.txt

Save both reports to your desktop

Please attach the following logs in your next reply: DDS.txt and Attach.txt

You can ignore the note about zipping the Attach.txt file and just attach it to your reply.

Thank you

Well part of the issue is that you need some way to download tools to run scans for logs but if your ISP is blocking it then that might be why it won't update too.

Please see if you can download and run this tool and send me back the log.

Thanks

Well there is why you can't update. All 3 sites listed are not reachable.

Please see if you can ping this site or not 93.184.215.73

Click on START - RUN and type in CMD and click OK

The type the following and press the Enter key

PING 93.184.215.73

If it replies then you can add the following to your hosts file and see if updates work now.

93.184.215.73 data-cdn.mbamupdates.com

You can edit the HOSTS file with Notepad

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

It's also possible that your computer could be infected as there are some known infections that block our update sites.

Can you ping any of those sites from a friends computer? If so then you may want to have someone assist you in the HJT forum to check for a possible infection.

But why it is not reachable, despite internet access?

I have Norton Internet Security and it is up to date. So, I think that my computer is not infected.

Also, what do you meant with pinging any of those sites from a friends computer

I'm sorry cooperator but I really don't know how to help you. It seems that your ISP is somehow blocking, preventing you from accessing our update sites.

If you like I can work with you to try to scan your system to see if there is some type of infection underlying that is the cause, just let me know if you'd like to do that.

Thanks\
