What is the new MBAMScheduler.exe....for?

So, no, there's no need to dispense with this process.

It controls the MBAM PRO scheduler that manages scheduled tasks (updates and scans).

Aside from real-time protection, the scheduler is one of the major enhanced features of the PRO version.

(That feature has always been a part of PRO, but the process is now a separate process.)

We'll have to wait for an MBAM staffer to weigh in as to whether disabling or removing it will cause program instability or crashes or other problems.
