Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.

Extra Note:

If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove,you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts,click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediatly.

Update MalwareBytes AntiMalware and Run a Quick Scan.

Post the log it produces

ESET Online Scanner

  1. Click on the following link to open ESET OnlineScan in a new window.

  3. For alternate browsers only: (Microsoft Internet Explorer users can skip these steps)

    1. Click on esetSmartInstall.png to download the ESET Smart Installer. Save it to your desktop.

    3. Check esetAcceptTerms.png
    4. Click the esetStart.png button.
    5. Accept any security warnings from your browser.

Web pages are loading now, but horribly slow. much slower than other PCs with the same internet connect. It took about 3-4 minutes to load the eset page where I "accept the terms of use" before I could check the box.

I found that the addin was called shockwave flash add in. once I removed it and reinstalled each separately now the addins each have their own listing, one is Flash active X and the other is Shockwave add in. now that they are separated, I can have both enabled and pages load fine. very odd. I think somethink was corrupted with the original plugins. Thanks again for the help. Everything seems to be running good again. You can close this issue if you would like.
