Suspicions?

Recommended Posts

Before I ran MBAM, I was already suspicious that I had picked up some malicious malware. My Norton Internet Security is being constantly disabled and terminated. I have now installed AVG.

MBAM found one threat which was duly removed but the above still occurs. In addition, I am now getting messages from MBAM saying "Successfully blocked access to a potentially malicious website" with details about the IP and port included. I haven't recorded the ports and IP's (if there is more than one?) but I have noticed that one of the IPs was 173.241.240.153

Hence I have attached DDS.txt and Attach.txt. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Anti-Virus programs take up an enormous amount of your computer's resources when they are actively scanning your computer. Having three anti-virus programs running at the same time can cause your computer to run very slow, become unstable and even, in rare cases, crash. My suggestion is to uninstall two of them. If you have a license for Norton Internet Security strongly recommend you keep it. If not, I suggest you to keep AVG 2012 and to uninstall the others: Norton Internet Security, Sophos Anti-Virus and Sophos AutoUpdate. It is important to have only one active and updated antivirus program.

Also, please uninstall the following applications too:

DNA

FinalTorrent 2011

Outspark Toolbar

Wincore MediaBar

Windows Searchqu Toolbar]

Finally, reboot your PC and generate a new fresh DDS log files. Post them in your next reply with information if there is any progress now.

Thanks for your quick reply!

I have uninstalled the applications you asked me to uninstall, apart from DNA which did not uninstall properly. I accidently also pressed the next option to remove it from the programs list. I have checked that dna is not running in my processes (task manager).

As for the anti-virus issue, I installed AVG since Norton became unstable (I have an active license): it would run on boot up but after maybe 5 minutes, it would just suddenly get disabled. The norton gadget on the top right of my screen starts off saying 'secure' but then just turns grey. In fact this is one of the reasons for my suspicions. Should I uninstall it or AVG?
