help with hijacked browser (other issues?)

Recently my computer somehow became infected with a virus which tried to make me believe that my hard drive had crashed so that I would give my credit card number to purchase a phony "recovery" program. I restored my system to a previous restore-point, but three problems carried over. First, many of my files were still hidden. Second, I would intermittently get unwanted audio -- mostly advertising -- playing through my laptop's speakers. Finally, when I would click on search results, I would often be redirected to another site (which usually didn't exist).

I already had SpywareBlaster and Spybot Search and Destroy installed before the infection, but afterwards I went through a host of others, including Ad Aware and Avast, but I'm still getting the unwanted audio (although seemingly not as often) and page redirects. Below is my log. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't recall the exact name of the phony recovery program, but my rkill log says that I am or have been infected with the "Fake.HDD rogue anti-spyware program."
