Sveind Posted August 15, 2012 ID:585296 Share Posted August 15, 2012 Hello,I'm posting this remotly since the problem is not in my actual computer, I've run microsoft security essentials and malwarebytes software, both have found a number of trojans and rootkits. While I've deleted all of them (as far as I can tell) I ran the dds tool and found a huge number of things running, however I'm unsure about whether or not the computer is still infected. Also one of my main concerns is the fact that my start menu and desktop are all messed up, most icons and links are missing and I have no idea on how to restore them, if anybody could help me I would really appreciate it.I've attached both dds logs, if there is something else that I need to do please let me know so I can run the scans. Thanks for your time.DDS.txtAttach.txt
MrCharlie Posted August 15, 2012 ID:585471 Share Posted August 15, 2012 Welcome to the forum. Please remove any usb or external drives from the computer before you run this scan! Please download and run RogueKiller to your desktop. For Windows XP, double-click to start. For Vista or Windows 7, do a right-click on the program, select Run as Administrator to start, & when prompted Allow to run.Click Scan to scan the system. When the scan completes > Close out the program > Don't Fix anything!Don't run any other options, they're not all bad!!!!!!!Post back the report which should be located on your desktop.MrC
