Download and run mbam-clean.exe from hereIt will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so very importantAfter the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from hereNote: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent via email if using the Pro versionYou can also look up your ID and Key from the Registry and copy and paste it to a Notepad document before running the mbam-clean utility.Location for Windows x86HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareLocation for Windows x64HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareLaunch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates.Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray if using the Pro version. Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted August 10, 2012 Root Admin ID:583079 Share Posted August 10, 2012 I don't know, you tell me. You said that even after reinstall you got an error about a file missing - that would seem to indicate either your AV is blocking it or possibly an infection. It's certainly not normal to get an error running the program is all so it's up to you but aside from some of your time it doesn't cost anything to have someone help you scan the system and look for an infection or cause for this behavior. Thanks
