Erunt's autoback.exe identifies as Trojan.Agent

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Fairly new user of Mbam Pro and just doing update of Mbam when it popped up claiming Erunt\Autoback.exe was a Trojan.Agent.

I've used the free version of Mbam for a long time and it never found any problem with autoback.exe.

I allowed Mbam to quarantine the file.

Could this be a false positive because of the new update?

Should I restore the file or perhaps re-download Erunt and re-install it?

Thanks.

Hello and welcome to MBAM forum, shiftsonal: :)

It sounds as if it might be a false positive, as it was already reported >>HERE<<.

Looks as if the MBAM engineers are working to fix it with the next database update.

So, yes, you can restore it. If you re-scan with MBAM after the detection is fixed, it should no longer be detected.

Thanks for reporting it!

@Shiftsonal - I had the same issue with erunt\autobackup.exe this afternoon, but not this morning.

Have been using erunt since 2005, and believe the issue to be false positive.

Ky331 - didn't see your post about the fix, before I posted !
