'Search' facility

Hi. This is my very first post! My second will be an enquiry about threats that Malwarebyte has just found. They're called PUP BLABBERS bur when I searched for this I got an error message - "One or all of your search keywords were below 4 characters".

Is there a way to improve the Search, or have I simply done it wrong, please? !!

Hello and welcome to MBAM, taffy1812:

"PUP" means Potentially Unwanted Program.

In general, these are not malicious malware, but rather foistware, adware, toolbars and other junk that often come bundled with other software.

They may not be harmful and they may be something that you intentionally installed on your computer, so MBAM only detects them as PUPs.

Having said that, some of them can be really challenging to remove.

Without seeing your logs, it's impossible for anyone to know for sure what MBAM detected.

As just a home user, I'm neither qualified nor permitted to analyze your logs.

Moreover, even the experts cannot do so in this particular sub-section of the forum.

So, please read the instructions below to have one of the malware experts check your system and help with cleaning it, if need be:

IMPORTANT: Please do NOT use any temporary file cleaners unless instructed to do so - they can cause data loss, making it hard to recover your system.

PS You are correct -- the forum search software doesn't permit using a word < 4 characters long. You can try a GOOGLE search instead.
