Can't get rid of this Virus, Eating me out !

Recommended Posts

I got a virus from a third party application downloaded from the internet. The virus showed a round red icon with an X in the taskbar that popped a balloon warning me of spywares. When clicked, it would take me to http://antivirusxp-pro2009.com/cgi-bin/dow...l?code=00000005

Additionally, I get a red text bar in Firefox and IE that says "Too many errors and faults WERE found in your system. Possibly that IT WAS THE RESULT of virus attack.YOU MUST scan your system", clicking on this will also take me to the same site mentioned above.

I searched a couple of support forums and ran Malwarebytes (after updating), It removed about 50 suspicious files. I got rid of the taskbar balloon but the bar in Firefox and IE is still there. Please help me with this. I have a Compaq 6720s Notebook with Win XP SP-3 (with Vistalization Application)
