David H. Lipman Posted July 6, 2012 ID:567693 Share Posted July 6, 2012 That's the Sandy Hook Lighthouse, circa 1760's.If you go all the way to what was Fort Hancock you'll get to the Lighthouse. If you go to the North tip, just North of the Coast Guard Station, there is an excellent observation point for views of the New York Bight, Verranzano Bridge, Coney Island, etc.Overlooking Sandy Hook is the Twin Lights Lighthouse.Sandy Hook Area Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Wind out of the South-South-West. If we get a Nor-Easter or a storm off sea maybe there will be some good swells.It was a great 4th of July on the Jersey Shore.
