Excellent photo shoot! David. Whats the the name of the Lighthouse in the last photo. Once the weather is cooler, I will be visiting the lighthouses down at my end. :)

That's the Sandy Hook Lighthouse, circa 1760's.

If you go all the way to what was Fort Hancock you'll get to the Lighthouse. If you go to the North tip, just North of the Coast Guard Station, there is an excellent observation point for views of the New York Bight, Verranzano Bridge, Coney Island, etc.

Overlooking Sandy Hook is the Twin Lights Lighthouse.

Actually the surf is rather flat right now. Wind out of the South-South-West. If we get a Nor-Easter or a storm off sea maybe there will be some good swells.

It was a great 4th of July on the Jersey Shore. The water was cool and clear, the air was hot and the bikinis were ever-present and the fireworks were magnifique.
