Recommended Posts

Have a look at the article below where it gives good advice in running MBAM to get rid of SafeGuard 2009 then check out what it says to run after MBAM finishes? :)

Files Infected:

c:\documents and settings\administrator\Desktop\perfectoptimizer.exe (Rogue.Installer)

Spooky. The site with the article wasn't blocked by my hosts file, but the perfectoptimizer site sure was. The scary part (for me anyways) is that aside from linking to that rogue, everything else about the site is legit. They even have links to BleepingComputer, Majorgeeks and others on their "Blogroll" on the right side of the page. I also noticed they're actually hosting the download for MBAM on their own site, is it clean or have they modded it?
