Good Afternoon,

I, sadly, have a serious problem with a JavaScript -download- file from a malicious website.

I had googled for a solution to my Adobe problem -PDF wont open nor does Flash Player work even though Adobe had been updated- when clicking on a google hyperlink the JavaScript file downloaded itself -unsolicited by me- it turms out MBAMs Website Blocking was disabled and thus the unwelcome download.

I, alas, dont have much experiance with malicious Jave Script, hence I would appreciate help and good advice in resolving this issue.

I have a Dell Desktop PC - OS Vista HomeBasic 32-Bit version.

1. Once I noticed the JS file dowload -View and Track your downloads- I noticed a red shield hyk....... file or was it hky......... file author cound not be verified. I was unfamiliar with a hyk or hky file jave script, hence I chose clear list and close.

2. I checked in the Downloads folder. There was indeed a JS file. I right-clicked the file and scanned it with both MBAM and Norton...both came up empty/clean.

3. I ran a Free On-line ESET scan...No Threats.

4. I sent the JS file from Downloads to Recycle Bin and emtied recycle bin.

5. I ran a Full MBAM and NIS scan...both came back empty/clean.

6. I ran Norton Power Eraser...which found something Bad in registry, restarted, and resolved Bad registry issue.

7. I ran a Free On-line Panda scan...No Infections.

I am VERY MUCH concerned that the hyk JS file, or hky file, left something malicious behind such as a key logger, hidden file, or worse, which my programs cant detect, hence PLEASE tell me what I have to do in order for my computer to be clean an secure again.
