Hi,

As you can see I'm new to the forum but have been a (happy) user of Malwarebytes for some time now.

I would like some advice re a persistent appearance of trojan.serv start almost every other scan. Mwb picks it up, recommends restart to get rid of, but the trojan reappears next day. It's on a company laptop with a/v which does not pick up on it. I stick to the Company Intranet and am very particular about connecting usb drives etc (I always scan with Mwb ) and use Kaspersky to regularly check them on my home pc. The laptop often uses my home network to connect to the Co system over a VPN. My home PC's come up clean. Any thoughts please?

Thank you.

Hi thanks for the reply. I'm just the user of the laptop, I've installed Malwarebytes on it myself, independently, as I use it on my home pc's - I don't even think the Co would totally approve anyway, so I'm looking at this as just from a home user viewpoint which I hope will be ok?

I'm concerned for the health of my home pc's and personal memory sticks etc that come into contact with the laptop but also would like to double check that I'm not the source of the problem and have been missing it on my own Mwb scans.

Thanks

I am sorry for your situation, but I feel that by placing Malwarebytes Anti-Malware on any company computer, without it being correctly licensed, is not permitted under the EULA of the product. The free version is only permitted for personal computer use, and it is not OK to use it in any way on any company computer without the correct license being used -

The statement above by daledoc 1 is quite correct -

If the Malware Removal section will handle this as a "problem computer" then I would delete Malwarebytes and post a private request for help -

Otherwise you may need to visit another Forum, like BleepingComputer or SpywareInfo Forum, and post in the Malware Forum areas there -

Thank You -
