I am using Windows XP. I have verified that I the latest Microsoft updates and updates for my antivirus suite. My CA antivirus suite has detected Kollah. When I follow the instructions to iscolate and delete it, my computer is restarted and Kollah is detected again. When I use Google to attempt to search for information on how to delete it, my Google search results are hijacked and I'm taken to various search sites with non-working links. When attempting to access this (malwarebytes.org) site, I get a scrambled mix.

I did finally find and download Malwarebytes and HiJackThis to my desktop. Unfortunately, when I click them to install them, nothing happens. Apparently, they are being blocked by the virus. I am posting this from another computer since I am having difficulty in posting from the infected computer.

From reading other's posts here, I think my next step is to download and attempt to install Combofix, is this correct?

Thank you,

Bo
