but if you can not use it on all platforms I migrates to avast!

Hello and welcome to MBAM, Christophe53150: :)

We will need to wait for an MBAM staffer to reply about the development of an Android-compatible version of MBAM. :)

I think it is being considered.

(Many here have expressed that same suggestion: http://forums.malwar...ndpost&p=548066)

However, you mention that you will "migrate to Avast!".

Please be aware that MBAM is NOT an anti-virus comparable to Avast! or other anti-virus programs.

So, it is not a substitute for an anti-virus program.

MBAM is a different, specialized program designed to target trojans, rogues and other types of malware NOT easily detected by an anti-virus.

It is designed to run alongside (with) an anti-virus to provide layered protection.

Your first line of security should be a robust, up-to-date anti-virus (such as Avast!).

In other words, even if there WERE an Android version of MBAM, you would still need an anti-virus on your mobile device. :)

I hope this explains things clearly (and that Google translate doesn't confuse the matter!),

:welcome:

The problem with this is that Malwarebytes' would need to be completely rewritten to work on Android as it is written in Visual Basic 6 which is Windows only(Visual Basic 6 is by Microsoft).

P.S. I'm not a staff member just a regular forum member.
