Malwarebytes repacked on softonic with adwares

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm french helper, and i've recently discovered during a topic that Malwarebytes seems to be repacked on softonic with some adwares (here, Iminent)

[2012/06/05 21:30:35 | 000,022,344 | ---- | C] (Malwarebytes Corporation) -- C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbam.sys

[2012/06/05 21:30:35 | 000,000,000 | ---D | C] -- C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

[2012/06/05 21:29:51 | 010,847,608 | ---- | C] (Malwarebytes Corporation ) -- C:\Users\sandrine\Desktop\mbam-setup-1.60.0.1800.exe

[2012/06/05 21:29:51 | 000,825,312 | ---- | C] (Iminent) -- C:\Users\sandrine\Desktop\IminentSetup_2-KFRPtAWP-1_.exe

(as you can seen, MBAM is not even uptodate ...)

We know that softonis begin to repacked a lot of good software (the most upload) like that.

But i think it's very bad for MBAM, even if it's the free version.

I hope you could contact them et try something against that ...

Thanks,

(sorry for my english ... french guys and the languages .... :D )

Greetings and welcome :)

Thanks for reporting this. I've passed this information on to our executive team to see if there's anything we can do about it.

Thanks :)
