Thoughts about Comodo

Hey everyone, I've just switched to Comodo Internet Security Premium (it's the free version). I've heard a lot of good things but as many, if not more bad things about the product as well as the staff. I just installed it to try it. What are your thoughts on the company, CEO (Melih), Staff, and product. Please include any problems caused by the program including lag, conflicts, and malware infections easily getting through etc. All are welcome to post, as I would like to see all of your opinions. Thanks and I look forward to reading your thoughts.

It is not a good guy. They paid some money and got the soure code from a investor of AyReovery(the best multisnapshot solution developer from china) . Then they make the Comodo Time Machine. But they say they made it all by theirself. It is not a honest company as I know.

@hayc59: Oh, well could you provide reasons? Because if Comodo is bad, then I don't want to keep using it. Please provide links to articles or give some examples of why you wouldn't use Melih's products. Thanks :)

@lovehhy: I would really like to know more about the issue you just presented. Could you please post a link talking more about it and about other things that Comodo has done. Thanks :)

@hayc59: Hmm, I see. I used to hold their product in very high regard. But with the current evidence, I think I'm just going to uninstall their product. Btw, I laughed when you said: "Thanks Donna and how many times can you

shoot yourself in the dang foot before you bleed out WOW!!". That was funny. Thanks for the reading, I really appreciate it.

A Moderator is not a staff member of Comodo. The same as your opinion are not that of Malwarebytes, the guy also put just kidding at the end of the comment for heaven sake. DV certs are issued to malware authors by all the big companies, Symantec included. I suggest to the OP to do his own research and goes the horses mouth (Comodo Forums) rather than relying on the 3 year old links.

BTW I do not use any Comodo products but people seem to have an unreasonable amount of hatred for this company.

@MetalShaun

Unfortunately I think you may have missed the more important part here.

As a Moderator or Administrator whether or not one works directly for the company, customers often perceive that you do and making such a comment even jokingly is not appropriate behavior.

I won't go into the reasons why some mistrust Commodo - there are thousands of posts and blogs on the Web that a Google search and hours of reading can help one to come to their own conclusion if they trust the company or not.

Thank you

Btw, hayc59, what type of protection do you have? Please list all the products/tools that you use personally to make sure your computer is "malware-free". Thanks!

Outpost Firewall(Bounce between that and Online Armor)

avast!

Malwarebytes

Winpatol

SUPERAntispyware

SpywareBlaster

Yes, I did some research and I have to agree, avast! is a very nice product. Unlike AVG, it doesn't get stuck on every update it does. Doesn't use a lot of RAM on my computer either! :)
