Recommended Posts

mbam quarantined a file that had been on my system for several months.

Avanquest /PowerDesk

Originally installed 1/31/2012

directory of: C:\Program Files (x86)\Avanquest\PowerDesk now shows a date of 5/26/2012

C:\Program Files (x86)\Avanquest\PowerDesk\HelpFiles.exe was scanned and found to be a Trojan.FakeAlert

As a result I Quarantined the file.

created directory: C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\false_positive_query

copied quarintined files to tC:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\false_positive_query

copied log files to: C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\false_positive_query

C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\false_positive_query
