Hello,

I have a problem with an alleged Rootkit.TDSS, only the program the "Malwarebytes" displays . Supposedly, the registry entry HKLM \ CurrentControlSet \ Services \ SkyNetNXPBDA_AMD64 is the danger. I believe this this Registry entry have would come through the TV card, but I think up that there really is no Rootkit.TDSS?

Can I this message from program "Malwarebytes" ingo?

Hello FSCOlsen and welcome to MalwareBytes forums.

First, I need for you to confirm if you have installed MalwareBytes MBAM ? Is that where you see the message on "TDSS" ?

If yes, I need for you to copy & paste the last MBAM scan log into a new reply.

I also need to know the version of Windows on your computer. Is it Windows 7, or VISTA or Windows XP

Please provide all details.

Also, do not touch the registry on your own.

For the time being, I am moving your topic to Malware Removal forum

Do not do any websurfing on this system. Only go to this forum and the sites I guide you to for tools or online scans.

Please follow my guidance

Do not run or start any other programs while these utilities and tools are in use!

icon_arrow.gifDo NOT run any other tools on your own or do any fixes other than what is listed here.

If you have questions, please ask before you do something on your own.

But it is important that you get going on these following steps.

Close any of your open programs while you run these tools.

Download DDS and save it to your desktop from http://www.techsuppo...ctools/sUBs/dds here

or http://download.blee...om/sUBs/dds.scr or

http://www.forospyware.com/sUBs/dds

Disable any script blocker if your antivirus/antimalware has it.

Then double click dds.scr to run the tool.

DDS will run in a command prompt window and will take 3 to 4 minutes or so.

  • When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
  • DDS.txt
  • Attach.txt
  • Save both reports to your desktop.

Please Copy & Paste the following logs in your next reply: DDS.txt & Attach.txt
