Full scan BSOD

Recommended Posts

I'm getting the Blue Screen crash and reboot when running MBAM-Pro 1.61.0.1400 FULL scan (Quick Scan is Okay)

My System is Dell Dimension with Q6600 Quad Core, 4Gb Ram, Window 7 Professional (64 Bit) Service Pack 1, Comodo Internet Security Premium as Firewall and AV protection.

Scan runs for >1hr then bombs out to blue screen does a memory dump then reboots.

the MEMORY.DMP file is 508Mbytes. Could upload it to dropbox if you wish

Please advise

Hello morpheus2010 and welcome to MalwareBytes forums.

What is the version number of your Comodo Internet Security?

This note by Exile360 may well be helpful to you as a temporary workaround.

Make CIS v5 Work with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware's Protection Module:

  • Open Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and click on the Protection tab
  • Uncheck Start protection module with Windows.
  • Restart your computer
  • Open COMODO Internet Security and click on the Defense+ button
  • Click on Defense+ Settings
  • Check the box next to Deactivate the Defense+ permanently (Requires a system restart)
  • Click Yes when prompted to restart your computer
  • After your computer restarts, open Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and click on the Protection tab
  • Check the box next to Enable protection module.
  • Check the box next to Start protection module with Windows.
  • Restart your computer to verify that mbamservice.exe is now running

NOTE: If a BSOD happens, write down the full STOP code exception and description shown by Windows. Document it for you and then report it here. And if the STOP exception is happening when MBAM is not scanning, you need to use another sub-forum PC Help >> http://forums.malwar...php?showforum=6
