I've had to reformat in the past because of nasty viruses like antivirus2009, vundo and related type things that anti-spyware programs and even the big name anti-virus programs could not get rid of. Not too long ago I installed Malwarebytes and thank God I did because I ended up somehow getting that same type of virus on my system again... and Malwarebytes got rid of it completely. And this was just using the free version of the program too, amazing.I wouldn't recommend anyone not use an anti-virus program, I still do, but nonetheless I now consider Malwarebytes to be an essential tool on my system and I wouldn't be without it. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware is not a replacement for anti-virus software, but it does go above and beyond what anti-virus software is capable of.
